We offer classes in Yoga Flow, Gentle, Men’s, Yin, Warm, Meditation and Sound Healing, to name a few. Our classes are grounded in a belief that less is more and that by slowing down and listening to our bodies, we can become more balanced, more healthy, and more powerful. Need to relax, de-stress or make time for yourself? Candlelight Yin Yoga uses the warm glow of candles to create a calm and soothing atmosphere. The Yin style involves holding and exploring poses for longer periods of time in order to let go of tensions stored in the body and to calm the nervous system. Infused in the longer, more passive holds is a meditative awareness of breath, mindfulness and presence. Practicing this way also helps to target deeper connective tissues especially around the hips, pelvis and lower spine.
This practice is suitable for all levels; the use of bolsters and blankets will be encouraged. You will walk out feeling “yintastic.”
The Curvy Yoga class is designed to make yoga welcoming to people of all shapes, sizes, and abilities. Classes are specifically designed to help you work with your own unique body by learning tools and techniques to make postures more inviting and accessible. Be yourself and have fun!
Ease Signature Yoga
Led by studio owner Tara Casagrande, this class offers a moderate level flow with an invitation to explore and be creative with your breath and yoga asanas. Inspired by Nosara Yoga Institute (NYI) training that involves Self Awakening Yoga (SAY) and vinyasa flow, this class begins with a slow centering and breath work, leads to a moderate flow and balance work and tapers down with floor work and often times a gentle gong bath or a longer savasana at the end. Arrive ready for creative, nurturing and explorative yoga.
Ease Yoga Fundamentals
This class is designed for beginners, or anyone looking to refresh their understanding of yoga fundamentals. Classes will explore safe and personalized alignment in foundational yoga poses, offer specific exercises designed to enhance the mind-body connection, and share techniques that illuminate the relationship of breath to health and vitality. The thoughtful pace and clear instruction offered in this class will give anyone the confidence to begin or deepen a regular yoga practice.
Flow & Yin
This practice combines the best of Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. We will begin with a refreshing yoga flow which will emphasize synchronizing breath and movement. Then we will transition into a quiet, meditative, floor-based practice where you will find more mobility and flexibility in your joints by holding poses and safely stretching the deep connective tissue. This practice is perfect for anyone who wants to bring more freedom and flexibility to their hips, pelvis, hamstrings and spine.
Foundational Strength for Yoga
Build strength to help improve your yoga postures using calisthenics.
Gentle Flow & Meditation
A slower-flow gentle yoga class suitable for all levels, ending with guided meditation. This class provides a gentle balance to a busy day and an opportunity for mindfully deepening your practice.
A slow-paced practice combining gentle yoga poses, breath work and strengthening & stretching the entire body through flowing sequences and held postures. This class is an invitation to relax, unwind and de-stress while learning/refining the fundamentals of yoga. Open to all experience levels, although classes do entail getting up and down from the floor.
Kids Yoga (Ages 4-7)
Children ages 4-7 will explore yoga and movement through the use of games, stories, music, and simple breathing activities. As a bonus- parents get to take the Yoga Flow class being offered in the next studio over, or relax in the cafe!
Kids Yoga (ages 6-10)
Children ages 6-10 will explore yoga through movement, games, breathing techniques, stories and FUN! It is a great opportunity to practice flexibility, patience, relaxation and friendship in a nurturing atmosphere. As an added bonus, parents can relax in our beautiful cafe while the little yogis play.... OR attend the adult Flow class offered at the same time! Journey through your consciousness with this in-depth meditation and analysis of your koshas. Yogic philosophy explains that koshas are different sheaths that make up your body and encase your soul. You will be led from your physical body to your deep, spiritual center with a meditation designed to help you reflect on your present experience and perceptions. After examining each kosha, we will record our findings by drawing or writing your experience. Come prepared to open your mind and relax your body with a long savasana. This class is 75 min, papers and markers will be provided for you, but feel free to bring any additional colors you might want. Dress to relax, pajamas are encouraged!
Lunch Hour Yoga
This is an all-levels, mid-day Vinyasa flow class. Come for some stretching and breathing, and leave a bit lighter than when you entered. Plan to stay for lunch at the cafe- class participants will receive a 10% discount at South Block!
Tools and techniques for meditation are vast and abundant. Using mindfulness, mantras, mudras, visualization, affirmations, body awareness and focusing techniques (to name a few), you will be lovingly guided through your practice.
Focusing on strength flexibility and breathing this class is geared to men however women are invited to join as well.
Slow down. Sink in. Relax. Restorative yoga features the use of yoga props to allow for total body support in simple, long-held poses. Soothing to the nervous system, nurturing to mind and body, Restorative yoga is a perfect reset to our busy lifestyles.
Rise and Shine Yoga
Rise and shine! What better way to start the day then to release all the stiffness and loosen the tight muscles? Set your body and mind up for success with a gentle flow to wake you up. It’ll be better then coffee.
Shake Your Soul
Are you looking for a fun cardio workout to compliment your yoga practice? Do you love to sweat and dance (like nobody's watching)? Experience the joy of movement, decompress, and unwind to great music! Open your heart and let your spirit soar to fantastic rhythms from around the globe. In Shake Your Soul, Katy will lead you through a dance experience like no other, designed to unleash your inner dancer and sooth the stresses and tensions of daily life.
Warm Flow (85 degrees)
For those who love to practice in a heated room and get a little sweat on! This is a dynamic, flowing class with an emphasis on linking breath with movement. You will cultivate awareness while building strength and flexibility in your body and mind; you will leave feeling completely relaxed. The room is mildly heated to 85 degrees.
Yin Yoga is a passive and meditative practice, where you will hold stretches for several minutes and allow gravity to help create more flexibility and mobility in your body. Yin yoga moves beyond the muscles to target fascia and connective tissue, where we tend to hold resistance. This practice encourages you to challenge your edge while also allowing for deep relaxation. It is a wonderful complement to a more active yoga practice.
Yoga & Sound
A powerful combination for total health and rejuvenation. Immersed in the healing sounds of crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, tingshas, Japanese gong, bells and sacred chant, relax deeply into Sri Yoga poses. Sri yoga is a chakra based, restorative practice accessible to all levels. The sound healing tools allow you even deeper access into the held poses, providing release and cleansing. A divine treat awaits your body, mind and soul!
Connecting body, mind and breath. Each class is composed of flowing and creative sequences, creating a moving meditation and increasing strength, flexibility and awareness. Modifications are offered throughout. Every teacher brings their unique offerings to this diverse class!
Imagine laying on your back and being guided into your deepest state of full-body relaxation. The brain enters a state of conscious awareness... hearing the voice of the yoga guide while simultaneously drifting into a sleep-like state. Yoga Nidra has been used to reduce tension and anxiety, promote restful sleep, and improve body awareness.
Yoga with Essential Oils
The combination of yoga with essential oils deepens the mind-body connection and encourages spiritual and physical awareness during the practice. Essential oils, like yoga, have been used for thousands of years to support relaxation, balance the mind and body, and uplift the spirit. This class will move through a yoga flow that is accessible to all levels, incorporating essential oils at different parts of the practice to deepen the experience.
